So my family are "Christmas tree snobs" as Brad puts it. We enjoy the hunt for the perfect tree and cutting it down ourselves and decorating it to the nines while singing and laughing. Sounds surreal but it's true. The "Tree" is just as important as the presents. A few weeks before our favorite holiday Brad, the boys and I drove down to my parents house to go tree hunting. Kent, Bee, Dara holding Garrett and Joe with a saw are pictures above in the snowy hills of Colorado.
My handsome, happy husband.
Dara holding Garrett and Bee hoping to steal some body heat. It was so cold!
I caught my mom in the middle of finally admitting that there weren't any good trees to be had. Unfortunately Joe just had to cut something down so we ended up with the most...Charlie Brown Tree you can imagine. It was so bad that my mom even blogged about it...blogged about how we tried to make the best of it, decorated it and sang as we did it...and then undecorated it and turned it into firewood and bought one from Home Depot. She's got some pictures on her blog that are pretty good, you should take a look! www.momza.blogspot.com
